The Walking Locked
Jamie Foxx - Ray (GG/C-M - BFCA)
Yeah.
Leonardo DiCaprio - The Aviator (GG/D - BFCA) Uh huh.
Paul Giamatti - Sideways (GG/C-M - BFCA) It would be a hard slap in the face not to be nominated

Which Two Of These Actors Will Make It?
Javier Bardem - The Sea Inside (GG/D - BFCA) The best performance of 2004. If it doesn't get in, it will be an embarrassment to The Academy.
Clint Eastwood - Million Dollar Baby The machine is starting its roll...
Johnny Depp - Finding Neverland (GG/D - BFCA) Bland, but beloved.
Don Cheadle - Hotel Rwanda (GG/D - BFCA) Excellent, but whose ballot does he top and suffers from AWB... Acting While Black. (Don't blame me.. pretending it's not an issue is a form of racism in and of itself.)
Kevin Spacey - Beyond The Sea (GG/C-M) Could shock them all!

Golden Globers Who Are Now Longshots To Step Up
Liam Neeson - Kinsey (GG/D) Deserves it, but the energy has drained
Jim Carrey - Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (GG/C-M) Deserves it, but it's a very youthful film
Kevin Kline - De-Lovely (GG/C-M) Deserves respect for a great career

The Truly Great Performance That Is Being Totally Overlooked
Sean Penn - The Assassination of Richard Nixon As tough a performance a 21 Grams... but is that a good thing, awardswise?

And The Long, Long, Longshots...
Kevin Bacon - The Woodsman A well liked actor... one of these years...
Gael Garcia Bernal - The Motorcycle Diaries Has he been in L.A. once since October?
Jim Caviezel - The Passion Of The Christ Could he rise?

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR

Comment
Thomas Haden Church - Sideways (GG) Will win if Searchlight tells the story
Morgan Freeman - Million Dollar Baby (GG) Will win if Searchlight doesn't tell the story and he asks for it for a career of quality
Clive Owen - Closer (GG) Will win if he passes away suddenly. (Seriously... terrific performance, but he is young and this is his first real award push.)
Jamie Foxx - Collateral (GG) Will people really vote for him twice? Because if its only once, it ain't for this.
Alan Alda - The Aviator It shouldn't happen... but who the hell knows? There aren't many good choices.
Peter Sarsgaard - Kinsey It should happen... but they've dissed him before.
Alec Baldwin - The Aviator Well... he got a nod for a phoned in performance in The Cooler... why not one for a nice, tiny performance here? (He deserves better roles.)
Rodrigo De La Serna - The Motorcycle Diaries Rodrigo de la who?
David Carradine - Kill Bill, V2 (GG) You've GOT to be kidding!
