The
Magician's Nephew
"This
is a story about something that happened long ago when your grandfather was a
child..."
On
a daring quest to save a life, two friends are hurled into another world, where
an evil sorceress seeks to enslave them. But then the lion Aslan's song weaves
itself into the fabric of a new land, a land that will be known as Narnia. And
in Narnia, all things are possible.
The
prequel to this year's The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, it is the
story of two children in Victorian England who unwittingly take part in the (re)birth
of the magical land of Narnia..
The
First Chapter

The
Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe
"A
world corrupted with powerful evil, full of dangerous temptations; humanity is
seen as often weak and prone to erring ways, but with the capacity for devotion
and even heroism if guided by the unconditional love of the godhead."
- David L. Russell
The
story of Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, who step through a magic wardrobe into
Narnia, once the peaceful land of Talking Beasts, Dwarfs, Giants, and Fauns, but
now frozen into winter by the evil White Witch.
"Lucy
felt a little frightened, but she felt very inquisitive and excited as well. She
looked back over her shoulder and there, between the dark tree-trunks, she could
still see the open doorway of the wardrobe and even catch a glimpse of the empty
room from which she had set out. (She had, of course, left the door open, for
she knew that it is a very silly thing to shut oneself into a wardrobe.) It seemed
to be still daylight there. "I can always get back if anything goes wrong,"
thought Lucy. She began to walk forward, crunch-crunch over the snow and through
the wood towards the other light..."

Looks Into The Wardrobe

The
Horse & His Boy
"This
is the story of an adventure that happened in Narnia and Calormen and the lands
between, in the Golden Age when Peter was High..."
Narnia...where
horses talk and hermits like company, where evil men turn into donkeys, where
boys go into battle...and where the adventure begins.
During
the Golden Age of Narnia, when Peter is High King, a boy named Shasta discovers
he is not the son of Arsheesh, the Calormene fisherman, and decides to run far
away to the North--to Narnia. When he is mistaken for another runaway, Shasta
is led to discover who he really is and even finds his real father.

Prince
Caspian: The Return to Narnia
"It
was not a man's face but a badger's, though larger and friendlier and more intelligent
than the face of any badger he had seen before. And it had certainly been talking.
Caspian knew that he had found the Old Narnians at last."
The
children have been called back .. though Narnia has been at peace since the children
left, it is now under the control of Wicked King Mirax. The youngsters, along
with Aslan the great lion, must help young Prince Caspian restore Narnia's glorious
past.
The
Island

The
Voyage of the Dawn Treader
"There
was a boy called Eustace Clarence Scrubb, and he almost deserved it..."
That
ship is the Dawn Treader, and on board is Caspian, King of Narnia. He and his
companions, including Reepicheep, the valiant warrior mouse, are searching for
seven lost lords of Narnia, and their voyage will take them to the edge of the
world. Their adventures include being captured by slave traders, a much-too-close
encounter with a dragon, and visits to many enchanted islands, including the place
where dreams come true.
The
Picture in the Bedroom

The
Silver Chair
"It
was a dull autumn day and Jill Pole was crying behind the gym..."
Narnia...where
owls are wise, where some of the giants like to snack on humans (and, if carefully
cooked, on Marsh-wiggles, too), where a prince is put under an evil spell...and
where the adventure begins. Eustace and Jill escape from the bullies at school
through a strange door in the wall, which, for once is unlocked. It leads to the
open moor...or does it? Once again Aslan has a task for the children, and Narnia
needs them. Through dangers untold and caverns deep and dark, they pursue the
quest that brings them face to face with the evil Witch. She must be defeated
if Prince Rilian is to be saved.
King
Caspian's beloved son Prince Rilian has disappeared. Aslan sends Eustace and his
school friend Jill to Narnia on a quest to search for the young prince and defeat
the evil Witch.
Behind
the Gym

The
Last Battle
"In
the last days of Narnia, far up to the west between Lantern Waste and close beside
the great waterfall, there lived an Ape..."
Narnia.
. .where dwarfs are loyal and tough and strongor are they. . .where you
must say goodbye. . .and where the adventure begins again.
The Unicorn
says that humans are brought to Narnia when Narnia is stirred and upset. And Narnia
is in trouble now: A false Aslan roams the land. Narnia's only hope is that Eustace
and Jill, old friends to Narnia, will be able to find the true Aslan and restore
peace to the land. Their task is a difficult one because, as the Centaur says,
"The stars never lie, but Men and Beasts do." Who is the real Aslan
and who is the imposter?
In
the conclusion of the saga that began with The Magician's Nephew, a false Aslan
is roaming Narnia, commanding everyone to work for the cruel Calormenes. Can Eustace
and Jill find the true Aslan and restore peace to the land? The last battle is
the greatest of all and the final struggle between good and evil.
