“A lot of people bring bacon and Scotch. There’s a great tailgating scene at a lot of these colleges before the show. They put up different Ron Swanson banners, and they will be grilling different Ron Swanson meat items, like the Swanson. That’s a turkey leg wrapped in bacon, and I have to say it’s pretty delicious. What greater fan interaction could there be? This guy at Iowa State handed me a jalapeño Cheddar cheeseburger that he’d made, which I happily consumed, which fueled the comedy that he’d come to see. It’s all hakuna matata, part of life’s beautiful circle.”

I love the menacing and somewhat racist Arab-sounding music straight out of a crappy Hollywood movie. Further proof that McCain/Palin are appealing to the most ignorant in society.
The first half is spot-on. The last half makes a leap of logic that I’m not following.
spot-on is a flea treatment for dogs here.
from the looks of it, americans could use a good dose of the following to ward off all the shithouse mccain fear-mongering:
‘fear is the mind-killer.
fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
i will face my fear.
i will permit it to pass over me and through me.
and when it has gone past i will turn the inner eye to see its path.
where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
only i will remain.’

With Obama ahead in most polls, it shows that people are becoming less affected by fearmongering and more affected by Obama’s more positive campaign aimed at hope/progress.
I think we’re all sick of being told be be afraid.
The unfettered joy I will feel at watching the bad ship GOP go down in historical ignominy on Tuesday…well, enough to buy Lex a lap dance.
That is some classic GOP fearmongering. Interesting then that in this week’s issue of Newsweek Nicholas Burns, under secretary of state for political affairs and the highest-ranking career diplomat until April, advocates talking to Iran and our other enemies.
“Interesting then that in this week’s issue of Newsweek Nicholas Burns, under secretary of state for political affairs and the highest-ranking career diplomat until April, advocates talking to Iran and our other enemies.”
Is he advocating a presidential face-to-face without preconditions? That’s been the rub. Otherwise, we already are communicating with Iran and other enemies.
Well, I’m aware that sitting down with these leaders can be issue (I am personally all for Obama on this matter, but I can see how others are not.), but I’m not sure how talking to someone equates to giving into their demands.
Mystery…”face to face?” It can’t be!
Of course, no problem with Condi Rice visiting “former” terrorist Ghaddafi?
Mystery… the Bush administration deciding to have high level communications with Iran happened well after Obama was mocked for his position.
The McCain camp has droned on about “no preconditions,” which was always a circumstance of a debate situation and not remotely realistic in the context that McCain keeps selling.
Obama has never actually advocated presidential sitdowns without any preconditions… but rather, not the precondition that the other side formally agree with us before we sit, which has been the Bush policy until recently.
